Road Trip - Part 5

I am going to miss Cherry Hills so much. I hope my friends come to visit me. I hope my friends have a good time without me at Cherry Hills. I hope they like the messages I sent them.

Today we are in Canada. We are in a city called Montreal. They speak French here. I learned to say a few things in French.

Hello — Bonjour.
Thank You — Merci.
Goodbye — Au revoir.
Stop — Arret.
Exit — Sortie.

We went into the city today. To get there we took the subway. In Montreal, the subway is called the Metro. The subway went really really really fast. We rode a lot of stops. It was very noisy when the train came into the station. That’s all for now. I’ll do another news flash later.

Today I went to the pool with my dad. I hung on to the bar at the pool and put my feet on the bar. We went to see the geyser in Yellowstone National Park. It is called Old Faithful. It blew up lots of hot water. And I went to 2 restaurants today. I ate pizza. It was good. I had a great time.

Hello again! Tonight we are in Wyoming. My dad is going to ask me more questions so I can tell you about my trip. Also, I will show you a video of what the car looks like as we drive all day long.

Grace’s Dad: Where did we wake up today?

Grace: Hotel in Eagle, Idaho.

Grace’s Dad: What was the coolest thing we saw today?

Grace: The Grand Teton mountains.

Grace’s Dad: Why are they so cool?

Grace: Because they have lots of snow. Here is a picture of them:

Grace’s Road Trip to New Jersey - Part 1

My dad asked me some questions about our road trip. Here’s what I had to say:

Grace’s Dad: Where did we wake up this morning?

Grace: Hotel in Portland

Grace’s Dad: Why did we sleep in a hotel in Portland last night?

Grace: Because we were going on a road trip.

Grace’s Dad: Why didn’t we sleep in our house?

Grace: Because we didn’t have our beds

Grace’s Dad: Where were our beds?

Grace: In the moving truck (with the rest of our stuff)

Grace’s Dad: What did we see on the road today?

Grace: Lots and lots and lots of trees.

Grace’s Dad: What else?

Grace: Lots and lots and lots of grass and lots and lots and lots and lots of clouds.

Grace’s Dad: What state are we in now?

Grace: Idaho.

Grace’s Dad: What did you do in the car all day?

Grace: Played “I Spy” with my dad. Looked around the outside and colored in my coloring book.

Grace’s Dad: Where are we going tomorrow?

Grace: Jackson, Wyoming for two nights.

Grace’s Dad: Are you having fun so far?

Grace: Yes!
